new eco-friendly toy

2 September 07

yep, we’ve got a ped.  a pretty little moped that will save us lots of money on gas (100 miles to the gallon!) and bring lots of fun at the same time!  one more little thing bringing us closer to Being the kind of people we like to say we are.

but it’s strange: we are now a two-vehicle family.  i feel so normal american.

oh wait.  we bought a vintage moped from italy.  and we’re in our thirties.  perhaps not middle america after all.

    hi . . . coveting over here!

when my car broke down a while back, I was seriously considering trading it in for an $800 moped. but then someone reminded me that we live in Michigan, and it snows here . . . 😦

oh, and thanks for your comment. Here’s this, since it sounds like you need it!

    tag, you’re it!

I’ve posted five things that I’m good at. Now you need to do the same about yourself! (I know it’s not in your nature, but humor me!)

that looks like so much fun! I would loooove to have a sweet retro vespa, but i’m not sure what I’d do with it in the winter months, since I have no garage at my little condo.

we are thoroughly enjoying it. last night, massi was running to blockbuster-about a mile away if that-and took the moped, saying “well yeah, why would i take the car?” came back all proud of the stares he had gotten on his ride there. i think we’re going to be fighting about who gets to take it to work!
